Cane Island ResortAs vacation home prices in Central Florida refuse to drop, buyers are on their way back, undeterred by ‘Housing Bubble’ burst fanatics. A return to normal from the noted absence of buyers and overpriced real estate is a sign of market optimism demonstrated by a May 2006 Market Report from High Tower Realty. It’s statistics show that the average selling price (not listing price) of a typical 4-bed pool home sampling five of the larger vacation home communities rose:

2005, January to June: $322,000
2005, July to December: $344,000
2006, January to April: $345,000

Cane Island ResortHigh Tower Realty note that high profile property developers such as DR Horton will be more inclined to phase out some of the market stimulating discounts currently being offered on its flag-ship Cane Island Resort project which is set to complete in September of this year. Its central 3,700 square ft clubhouse will incorporate a gym, games room, full kitchen, social room and business centre. There will also be a large heated swimming pool and spa and a children’s playground on site. Its location on the south side of US 192, 3 miles east of Disney’s World Drive, and close to Kissimmee Old Town and I4. There are many great places to eat within walking distance, and there is a bus from outside the entrance into Disney for guests who prefer not to drive. Starting prices are $283,000 for a 1195 square ft 2 bed, 2 bath condominium marketed by Hightower Realty who are currently offering up to $10,000 cashback buyer incentive upon closing on any of the homes on Cane Island.

Citrus Gardens
