GEM Estates previously highlighted Palm View Resort on the Cape Verdean island of Boa Vista as one of only a handful of six-star residential resorts in existence and more than worthy of its rating. Offering spacious apartments and contemporary villas skirting untouched sandy beaches the on-site facilities included a six-star boutique hotel, no less than nine swimming pools, four restaurants, beach bars, a disco bar, gymnasium, luxury health and beauty Spa, tennis courts, football pitches, an open-air theatre and boutiques. We’re pleased to announce that Palm View Resort has just got even better.
The current pound-euro exchange rate may have perturbed a few would-be buyers so the developer has, for a limited period, implemented a fixed rate of 1.4 euros to each pound as well as a sterling account facility for stage payments. Palm View Resort will also offer a guaranteed rental return of 5% net for the first three years from completion further enhancing the investment.
With an appealing furniture package already included in asking prices, Palm View Resort has now taken the step to instantly upgrade this package to Platinum status across the board. As expected from a six star resort, Platinum truly means Platinum with such luxuries as a four-seater Jacuzzi with flatscreen DVD for apartments (two-seater for studios), touch-screen operated cookers and fridge-freezers, designer dinnerware and crystal glasses, orthopedic beds, 42” plasma TV screens with built-in DVD player plus an integrated sound system. It’s doubtful that any other Cape Verdean resort could compete.
The Palm View Resort Privilege Card is another benefit peculiar to this Boa Vista development. Owners are automatically entitled to this advantage which accesses a 24-hour concierge service available for use even before they’ve left the dreariness of northern Europe. Flights, airport transfers and a champagne reception will all be arranged on your behalf so all you have to do is tick the days off the calendar until you can feel the sand between your toes. The Card also rewards residents with discounts off dining, beauty treatments, shopping and sporting activities.
Lastly, but by no means least, inspection trips to the island are organized free of charge subject to a 6,000 euro reservation fee paid in advance, whilst 1,000 euros is offered towards legal fees, payable upon completion.
Studio apartments are priced from 80,000 euros, two bedroom apartments from 220,000 euros and two bedroom penthouses from 250,000 euros. The detached villas with private infinity pools are all reserved subject to contract. Payment terms are 6,000 euro reservation, 30% on private purchase contract, 20% five months after and the remaining 50% on completion scheduled for the first quarter of 2010.
