Contrary to popular belief, it is possible to appeal BPP utilizing unequal appraisal, a concept that is fairly new. Most property tax consultants and large property owners have not considered or utilized unequal appraisal regarding BPP. Appraisal districts are resistant to the concept of appealing BPP based on unequal appraisal.

Do your own due diligence. Is there high rental demand?, look at what the other local hotels/apartments are renting for, what’s their occupancy rate? Do it your self though, that’s the key I think as there are some great overseas buy to lets out there, but just as many very bad ones!

Interesting article. But buying abroad has its risks. I have read some blogs with a lot of comments about prices peaking in USA and people think the might crash. Also there is an interesting article on renting in europe where apparently there is a trend across many countries with less and less people renting … check this out http://www.simple2rent.co.uk/index.asp?key=23

now i am not saying that simple2rent is an expert on this subject but it does make you think before investing abroad.
