We would leave out Spain of the story.
Against all EEG rules Spain started to impound boats from foreigners when the boat is longer than 6 months in Spain.
The Spanish authorities want 12% import duty on boats even when VAT is payed.
It is not important or the owner is resident or a not resident.
The whole story is unbelievable but 100% truth.

Ik zou Spanje uit het verhaal schrappen, aangezien recht tegen alle EEG regels in, is Spanje begonnen buitenlandse pleziervaartuigen uit Schengenlanden, ook waar de BTW op is betaald, in beslag te nemen.
Elk schip wat langer dan 6 maanden in Spanje ligt (resident of geen resident) wordt geacht 12% invoerrechten te betalen en mag de haven niet meer verlaten tot deze 12% van de waarde van het schip is betaald.
Het klinkt ongeloofwaardig, maar het is voor 100% waar.

I have been to the Bimini Bay Resort in the Bahama’s and it is indeed a wonderful place. The Marina had quite a few mega-yachts when we were there recently. The whole place was beautiful!
