Overseas Property News

Not content with working their way steadily through the Guinness book of Dubai property records, Dubai is now moving on from the largest, tallest and widest buildings to tackle new frontiers, apparently recreating an indoor snow slope is not sufficient, nor an underwater hotel, Dubai has today announced plans to build a underground city.
This subterranean city will be constructed entirely underground and is set to be environmentally friendly and energy efficient harnessing the warmth of the earth to provide hot water. The additional noise insulation of the surrounding earth makes these underground homes exceptionally quiet and are being billed as the perfect escape from the noise of modern day living.
The underground community will have a complete set of amenities including an underground shopping centre similar to Montreal’s underground city, apparently used by more people than any other locale.
Underground cities are nothing new with many countries creating underground cities to house shopping malls and metro transport networks but never has an entire an city of subterranean residential housing been constructed.
Rumours are circulating that the man behind the Dubai construction, Sheikh Youse Bin Had is currently in discussion with the makers of Teletubbies and Lord of The Rings to create a fractional ownership theme park which will offer die-hard adult and child fans alike, the opportunity to experience life like their cult figures.

When it comes to building in Dubai, nothing it seems is impossible !!!!!
