Oasis is situated in the village of Pulborough in the heart of rural West Sussex, at the junction of the north-south A29 and the east-west (A283) roads. On the northern boundary of the newly established South Downs National Park, Pulborough is surrounded by beautiful countryside with the Rivers Arun and Rother nearby. The rural nature of Pulborough combines with good commuter links to create a modern village community, with shops, post office, doctors surgery, library, leisure facilities and a traditional pub; all within walking distance of the village centre. Within twenty minutes drive you can visit over thirty museums, country houses, farm parks, nature reserves, vineyards and fruit farms, historic churches, gardens and galleries or just picnic by the river Arun.
Full of history, Pulborough is home to Saint Mary’s Church, part of which was built around 1180, whilst Stopham Bridge was erected in 1309 during the reign of Henry II. Pulborough and the surrounding villages are criss-crossed by public footpaths through areas of outstanding natural beauty, perfect for a leisurely stroll. There is a choice of nursery, primary and secondary schools in Pulborough and the surrounding villages as well as a selection of colleges within easy reach.
The area is also internationally famous for its horse and motor racing events but there are many other sporting and country pursuit activities to appeal to everyone, including a good choice of golf courses.
The area has an outstanding range of antique shops and auction houses, local and specialist food shops and clothes shops to suit every taste. There is also a handful of restaurants offering many cuisines, as well as hot meals served in local public houses plus tea rooms and bistros.
For a greater choice of retail outlets there are many options just 20 minutes or so drive away, including Chichester and Horsham. A little further away, the beaches at Climping and West Wittering offer beautiful scenery and fun family days out as well as the more commercial Bognor Regis, Worthing and Brighton. Trains from nearby Pulborough Station provide direct services to London Victoria in an hour and twenty minutes and Bognor Regis in 25 minutes.
