Off plan ski property, Spain doesnt naturally spring to mind
Granada, inland from the Costa Tropical in Spain is the setting for our next new development review.
The Sierra Nevada is the mountain range that towers above the surrounding area. The Ski resort itself is relatively small compared to its competition in the Alps, but this gives it a good communal feel. The snow can be thin in places during the season, but snow canons are available. There are ski schools and there are runs that cater for different abilities of skier and snowboarder.
Medina Elvira 23
Medina Elvira 23 is approximately 25 minutes drive from the ski slopes at Sierra Nevada and 50 minutes from the coast. This is a priviledged position as it is also very close to Granada itself with flights from the UK as follows:
Ryanair flys from Stansted and Liverpool to Granada (GRX)
Monarch flys from Gatwick to Granada (GRX)

A development of 198 1-4 bedrooms properties, Medina Elvira 23 offers luxury apartments, with fully fitted kitchens and communal swimming pool and gardens. This development has been designed with the views of the countryside and the Sierra Nevada in mind. This development was released a while ago and Phase 1 is already very close to being SOLD OUT.
Prices start from €149,000
Medina Elvira 23 is just one of the developments being released on the larger project of Medina Elvira. The sales and marketing are being handled by Peninsula Project Management, but there website is not ready as present 19/04/06.
Medina Elvira Fairways
The second phase was released in February 2006 and is called Medina Elvira Fairways and the 186 luxury properties are frontline to the new golf course. The specifications are very high with fully fitted kitchens and wooden floors*. Fairways offers 25 different types of property including the following:
Lofts
Duplex Penthouses
Open access garden apartments
On site there will be a 18 hole golf course with clubhouse,a luxury hotel SPA, tennis courts, supermarkets, a horse riding centre and other facilities. In the Granada area you must take a visit to La Alhambra and the national park.
Prices start from €173,000
TIP* Marble floors look nice, but in Spain’s winter are cold and also absorb any liquids, leaving visible stains, if not attended to immediately. Many people decide to have tiled floors with underfloor heating or wooden floors.

We have many properties in and around the Sierra Nevada and the shift from the coast to inland has been incredible, cheaper property prices and the real Spanish way of life.
Not for me but I can see the attraction of some of these places and especially the prices.
Inland properties starting from only 30,000 euros, not bad.
