Further to all the comments here and my first entry. Spain has to be first choice now for anyone buying now. Not only have you got the lifestyle, but this is increased by being able to purchase a superior property than originally intended due to the Bargain prices now achievable in Spain

There is no doubt that Spain remains unrivaled as a ‘package’ in terms of its proximity to the UK, climate, range of property on offer and subsequent financial viability, the reign of Spain continues. Nice post and thanks for sharing back link.

Spain is always a leader in lifestyle. Although house prices are more expensive here than 4 or 5 years ago but we can still afford a nice property in the Spanish Sun because of the cost of living here in Spain being so much less. Nice post. Thanks sharing with us.

I totally agree Spain has become a “Lifestyle” destination. For both holiday homes and retirement property, for all the reasons stated in this article. But also I think for Brits it goes a little further we´re very much creatures of habit. We´ve all been coming to Spain for as far back as we can remember, and we all have fond memories and we´ve “tried and tested” coupled with the fact that although house prices are more expensive here than 4 or 5 years ago, it doesn´t matter as our property prices back in the UK have increased more so we can still afford a nice property in the Spanish Sun, and have a little nest egg tucked away in the bank, that actually goes a lot further due to the cost of living here in Spain being so much less.

So all this and the major factor being the UK is little more than 2 hours by plane will always keep Spain top of the overseas housing Market for us Brits.
