I've been in Santiago, and I've seen both resorts. Believe me, for what I've seen of Sambala, I can't understand why someone chooses Sambala over Ponta Bicuda. Not even by half of the price. Poor construction, situated in the top of a hill, far away from the beach (good and large beach) and very dense construction, like a small town. The Ponta Bicuda will be a really leisure resort, with a nice small kind-of private beach, near the city (not too much).

I too have considered extending my investment portfolio for the first time in overseas property. At this stage I am very interested in Cape Verde but unlike Louis I have found the Sambala Developments website very informative and caters to all my questions at this stage. The Sambala website contains a very useful and comprehensive FAQ section about the island and the Cape Verde property market as a whole as well as news articles ranging form overseas property articles to news of the Cape Verde Islands and the Sambala Resort in addition to films and photos of Santiago Island. To make a more general point, websites that invest exclusively in creating their own graphics of their resort and not in an extensive picture gallery and films of the location and the development are not very helpful in themselves for potential investors and one cannot help feel that you are being constantly sold at and not being given any latitude in which to inform ourselves.

I've been looking for some investments opportunities and found the Ponta Bicuda - Properties in Cape Verde website, seems to be an interesting one. They websites looks promising will all those 3D things and the video is pretty well done. I can see that they invested a lot on their image and advertisings, so it must be a serious thing.

The Sambala website is poor on images and looks like some kind of low priced portal. It makes me feel that they´re careless on their image and advertisings.

My choice would be Ponta Bicuda. :)
