Next month, the federal government as part of its ongoing commitment to support projects with economic potential for the region has agreed to sign an agreement with Tremblant granting the resort $47.5 million for the infrastructure underpinning of these two projected villages in the form of road construction, sidewalks, paths, waste water and fresh water systems. Access into the resort continues to be improved as with an extension underway of the commuter train service connecting Saint-Jérôme, the gateway to the Laurentian region to Montreal. From January the train will operate eight times daily whose service is initially expected to be adopted by some 600 passengers daily.
