This show focuses on Phuket and this week’s guest is Andrew Howard, who puts his money where his mouth is and has invested in two properties on the Island of Phuket in Thailand, as well as owning a number of properties back in the UK.

Andrew Howard, Commercial Director of The Village on Coconut Island, is realistic about his market and states that the Tsunami and recent Coup in Thailand have slowed the property market a little, but recently he has seen visitor numbers pick up again as Thailand is a major tourist destination not only for us Europeans, but for the Chinese and other Far East destinations.

In Podcast 17, Andrew explains the reasons why Phuket in particular is a property investment hotspot and states that due to the lack of luxury property and a steady increase in tourist visitors, property prices are on the increase in the area.

He walks us through the types of property available on the Island of Phuket and through the buying process and property taxes. He believes that the future of property in this market is good, as more an more people travel to Thailand as a holiday destination.
