Overseas Property Regulation Podcast with Paul Owen

Property PodcastPaul Owen AIPPIn this 8th Edition of the Nubricks Property Podcast series, Paul Owen, the Chief Executive of the Association of International Property Professionals, chats with Adam about this new kitemark established to regulate companies within the overseas property industry.

Paul explains the AIPP’s charter and stringent rules for membership of the Association and why a trade association for the entire overseas property industry must combine a positive profile with strict enforcement of its code with the goal of establishing a level of professional AIPP standards designed to protect the buyer of overseas property. It is hoped that the advent of this trade association will “shake up” the industry encouraging not only members of the public conducting a property purchase abroad to check whether their agent, developer and legal representative is an AIPP member but also prompting overseas property companies from all aspects of the industry to self regulate themselves and in doing so raise professional standards.

Please use the web link below, if you would like to download the AIPP’s Code of Conduct and view what criteria companies and individuals agree to adhere to when they are become a full AIPP member.
