Zillow blog humorous look at second vacation homes in the US
The real estate market in the US let’s say is experiencing some difficulties at the moment, however from a European and in particuluar a UK buyers perspective this is a good thing. With $2 for a pound within striking distance US property looks a good buy BUT and it’s a big one the decision behind buying is something that needs a little more consideration. Taking data from our recent poll about retirement property plans, 56% of Nubricks.com readers were thinking about buying a property abroad for retirement.
The use of a second home abroad I think dictates its worth in ways more than just the income it derives. Take a look a tongue in cheek post on Zillow blog commenting on the vacation home market in the US.
Zillow also posts about the new pied de’terre trend in Seattle which much like the Abito development in Manchester and the Munich micro compact home are catering to the Channel 4’s Relocation, Relocation trend of 2 different homes for different lifestyles, a city pad for work and country home for living.

Zillow is still just a tool for sellers in the beginning of the sales process eventually most sellers will hire a pro. But at least there trying to be funny haha.
