The pod casts are a great idea but HOW DO I DOWNLOAD any of these podcasts to play on my MP3 player (which I believe is the purpose of a podcast) – I only seem to be able to listen to them online?

The way to download the mp3, is to go to the podcast post you wish to download, right click on the link that says:
Listen to the Nubricks.com Overseas Property Podcast
And click “save as”, then choose the directory on your pc you wish to store it under. Then add this file into your mp3 software as you would any music that you download.
