Property Podcasting on Nubricks

What is podcasting?

MicrophoneThink of a podcast as a radio show. Each show consists of a series of individual episodes that you can listen to how you want — on your PC, using your MP3 player, via RSS or with just a web browser.  It is a new phenomenon (summer 2004) that has followed on from Blogging, its word based equivalent. Podcasting allows the user to retain audio archives to listen to at their leisure.
Instead of reading content in your RSS feed reader or aggregator, you can listen to the contents of your feed using a reader or aggregator that supports podcasting, or you can listen to them on an iPod or mp3 player. To listen to podcasts you may want to download either of the following iTunes or Juice
Podcasts can be displayed on websites with clickable links to audio files and many of the standard RSS readers have begun supporting audio enclosures.

Podcasting good for the property industry?

The property industry is large and relatively slow to pick up on new technologies. Podcasting is not widely used in real estate at the moment and some of its uses could be:

1. Property Tours – Informational audio content of different properties.

2. Interviews – Interviews with key figures in the property industry.

3. Talk Shows - Industry news, investor news, market analysis, news coverage and commentaries.

4. Training – “How to” Guides, property guides, “what to avoid” guides.

5. Testimonials – Real people giving credit, where credit is due.

We have been toying with the idea of adding audio content to Nubricks and wanted to know what you, the readers think about the idea.
