AIPP Awards 2008 - The Best International Property Professionals

Nubricks.com applauds the AIPP 2008 Award winners, honoured for customer service. The Association of International Property Professional announced the nine winners of its annual AIPP Awards program,
chosen from a short-list of 25 nominees at an evening ceremony held Friday night, Oct. 3rd in London.

The AIPP, an independent, non-profit-making initiative to reward customer service excellence in the international property sector, launched its own independently adjudicated Awards programme in February this year with a focus purely on customer service. The Association put itself in the position of the international property buyer and thought, ‘What do I want to see in an agent or in a developer to reassure me that they will deliver?’.

The selection criteria for the AIPP Award winners includes both quantitative and qualitative analysis of their due diligence processes in advance of selling, the transparency of the marketing and the successful delivery of promised service to clients. All entrants had to supply client references and these were called by the Association in advance of judging. The short-listed entries were judged by a panel (with no information from the initial judging selection) and those judges were predominantly independent people, ie. not working in the international property market including Christopher Hamer, the Ombudsman for Estate Agents, Ashley Underwood QC, Iain Travers (Partner at Nabarro’s and head of their Real Estate Dispute Resolution team) and John Coles (Founder of the Evenbrook Group which owns and manages 1200 residential investment properties across the UK).

Speaking about the value of the awards, Paul Owen, AIPP’s Chief Executive recently commented, ‘Consider, for a moment, the value of being one of only 9 winners of an independent awards process run by the industry body’.

The 2008 AIPP Award winners were announced at the Gala Dinner on board London’s premier cruise boat, the Silver Sturgeon and more than 350 international property movers and shakers attended the gala event.
